We are guided by three commitments -
We are committed to the person of Jesus Christ
We are committed to each other in the Body of Christ
We are commited to the work of Christ in the world
Interfaith Communities in Action
We are members of an association of religious communities encompassing a variety of traditions. While our beliefs may not be the same, our values are shared: human dignity, justice, care for the marginalized, compassion and active Aloha for all.
Two Al-Anon groups and three Narcotics Anonymous groups meet in our facilities weekly. These gatherings are very important to the participants and our contribution is providing them with a place to meet which we are happy to do.
Like the one-room schoolhouses of another era, our keiki enjoy a one-room Sunday School. From 3 years to 12 years old, they do everything together under the kind guidance of teachers who prepare lessons that include music, handcrafts, Bible lessons and games.
Our young people take part in the worship services as they feel confident and comfortable by presenting Gifts of Music, being Liturgist, serving communion, assisting with the Sunday School and being part of our confirmation program. We send youth representatives to local and national gatherings of young people as they have interest to attend.
We are the favored site for a number of community wide concerts through the year. In addition, our own congregation is blessed with talented singers, instrumentalists and an awesome pipe organ that rocks the place under the skilled hand of our organist, Michael Springer.
Community Service & Mission
The Pen Pal Project is supported by recycling newspapers and HI-5 items which generates income that supports a child in the Philippines, providing education and health care. The children of the church write to our sponsored child and learn about his life and culture.
It is our privilege to be the location for
this highly respected preschool which
meets Monday-Friday, and offers all-day
care for children whose parents need
daycare services as well. The children
join Pastor Kent in the church sanctuary
twice a month for Bible stories, music
and a grand time together.
